We Won! myFirst at K-Startup Grand Challenge 2022

Hello everyone, myFirst has wonderful news to share with all of our customers!

We are proud to announce that myFirst has won 2nd place out of 2650 participating start-ups  in the K-Startup Grand Challenge 2022!

K-Startup Grand Challenge 2022 - Award Ceremony

The final stage for the K-Startup Grand Challenge was held from 8th November until 11th November 2022, and the winners were announced on the last day.

From amongst 2650 great startups from around the world, myFirst fought our way into the top 360 companies and eventually to the top 51s landed in Korea, and now we won 2nd place in the finals!

It was great progress for myFirst to get into the Korean Startup Grand Challenge 2022. This milestone is another step towards realizing our vision to redesign the way kids learn and play, in hopes of creating a community where children can grow up with technology safely introduced into their lives before they get in touch with the challenges of the adult tech world.

Winning in the KSGC 2022 is just the first step for myFirst to give us more confidence to focus on the Korean market and more to come.

Without the team effort of our team members, partners, investors, and mentors who contributed to this journey, we wouldn’t be able to make such amazing progress in the Korean market, and it’s really wonderful to see the kids loving myFirst.

Once again, kudos to everyone involved!

Did You Know What the K-Startup Grand Challenge is?

The Korean government is aiming to revamp the economy of the nation for another century of prosperity, which will ultimately boost employment, GDP, and Korea’s standing in the global economy. The government is helping potential businesses and bright entrepreneurs in order to achieve this goal and make Korea and Pangyo Creative Economy Valley a center for international startups in Asia.

The top-ranked 60 teams selected by the accelerators will be invited to stay in Korea to participate in a 3.5 month accelerating program in Pangyo, located in the south of Seoul. myFirst was one of the selected startups for this accelerating program!

A demo day was then held by the government to choose the top 30 businesses at the end of the acceleration program. These startups will receive additional financial incentives, and the Korean government will provide them with further support if they decide to locate their firms there.
